On the day

The Scurry takes place on Saturday, 21st September 2024. You have until Thursday 12th September to enter.

Getting here

Note: Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time to make your way from the car park to the venue and collect your number (at least 20 minutes).

Arrive at the Memorial Hall and field across from the school where you will be able to park.

Scurry Site: Berrycott Lane, Seagrave. LE12 7LY

Parking and the site

Park at the Seagrave Memorial Hall (Green Lane, Seagrave. LE12 7LU), there will be parking there and at the field next to it.

To get to the scurry site (Berrycott Lane, Seagrave. LE12 7LY), there is an approx 10 minute walk.

  1. Turn left out of the car park field and proeed to the village green.
  2. Turn right onto King Street and follow the road for approx 1/4 of a mile
  3. Turn left into Berrycott Lane
  4. Follow Berrycott lane and you will find the scurry site on your left
  5. Once there, head to the Secretary’s tent to collect your scurry number & display this clearly throughout.

There will be wardens showing you the right way too!

The Scurries

All of the races are cross country over undulating ground. Please ensure suitable clothing and footwear is worn. All children competing in Scurry 1 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult who will be entered for free (18+ years).

Results

This is all for fun, of course, however we’ll give you a number in the day and publish the results on here after the event. Every competitor (apart from the accompanying adults in race 1) will receive a commemorative mug and the top 3 finishers in each race will receive a medal.

Not only that, the Seagrave Scurry Cup and Rosebowl will be presented to the highest placed boy and girl who are current pupils at Seagrave Village Primary school.
